Dementia Friendly Screenings

We are an Dementia friendly venue and offer special Dementia screenings – we create a nice relaxed atmosphere by adapting the cinema to be more appealing to those living with dementia

For these screenings we keep the lights on low, the sound is a little quieter with no ads or trailers.

We are open to any suggestions which you feel would improve these screenings simply speak to a member of the team.

Toddler & Baby Screenings

Get the toys out, keep the lights on low and let the chaos commence!

All are welcome to our very popular Toddler screenings but not really recommended if you don’t have a toddler!

There will be bacon butties, coffee and tea and all our usual snacks and drinks.

Book Club

We show some fantastic films for our Book Clubbers!
All are welcome to come and watch the film or if you decide to join in the chat and discussion round the book/film afterwards.

Soup with crusty rolls or hotdogs are available both before and after the film.

Dog Friendly Screenings

The Palace Cinema doesn’t forget our doggy community!

We offer Dog Friendly screenings to allow you to bring your four legged friends along with you.
Free Dog treats are available which are supplied by The 8 Bit Bakery.

And treats for our 2 legged guests can be bought from the Cinema counter

The Palace Playgroup

Come along and bring your 0-5 yr olds for a play and a snack.

Every Tuesday 9.30 – 11.30 am we put on the Big TV during snack time and the adults can have a free brew as well!

Subtitled Screenings

Every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm we show our main film of the week with subtitles so that people from the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities can enjoy the cinema.  The film does have regular sound too and hearing people are very welcome to attend.
